The company continues to sell standard and custom-designed cooling and temperature control solutions as well as various control systems for companies in the fishing industry, aquaculture, biotechnology industry, food production and other industries.
More versatile services
The company will also provide comprehensive service and monitoring when it comes to cooling equipment, cooling solutions and most all electrical equipment in companies. But the company will also take care of all electrical issues for customers who wish to do so.

The companies have worked together on many projects
Kæling and Víkurafl have been involved in many joint projects over the years on board fishing vessels and with fishing companies inland. Cooperation in these projects has been very successful, which was the trigger for the owners’ idea to merge the companies. Both companies have a lot of expertise, especially related to the fishing industry, but great growth and new knowledge has developed rapidly at both companies in installations and services for aqua farming companies.

The synergy effect of the merger is great between the companies and the benefits are significant for customers who can now use the great knowledge, experience and capacity that Kæling – Víkurafl possesses. The company is now ready to handle much larger and more complex projects than before. Customers can achieve much more cost-effective projects and simpler communication in relation to them by using the combined forces of Cooling and Víkurafl.
Exciting marketing challenges ahead
There are great opportunities and challenges ahead of us. On of the biggest issues are the expanding need for environmentally friendly cooling systems and cooling solutions, but Kæling has been working for years on the development of environmentally friendly cooling solutions, where you can both buy new systems that completely use environmentally friendly refrigerants, or the advantage that can be extremely an economical intermediate step in optimization and environmental issues, but that is to have older systems changed so that up to 90% of environmentally unfriendly refrigerants are removed. In new environmentally friendly cooling systems and refrigeration equipment, C02 is often used as a refrigerant, but other environmentally friendly refrigerants are also available.
